Road Trippin' to Bargara

Hey y’all! My apologies for being slow to get another post up, life has been keeping us very busy lately with no signs of a slow down in the near future! And as irony would have it, I went from posting 3 blogs in one week to no new material for almost a month! But I have been working on some new stuff lately and this post is chocked full of photographic evidence of our busy schedule! (My appologies in advance...these pictures are quite small and so dark?! They dont look like that before i post to the blog...hmm might have to fix that!)

Last weekend Davey & I hit the open road on a weekend road trip to Bundaberg (yep that's the bus we rolled up in and then we had to cross the river in this boat...jk~). Actually, we were headed to the quaint seaside town of Bargara, which is just east of Bundy...about four and a half hours north of Brisbane. We had previously visited the one horse town of Bundaberg in 2009, home of the infamous rum distillery, and that's about it. So, this time around we were on a mission to visit a friend, Mel (who happened to be placed at Bargara on a work assignment).
These are some of the pictures I took as we stopped to have a stroll and stretch of the legs along the way.

There were so many cute little beach towns dotting the coastline on route our five hour journey. We stopped at a place called Tin Can Bay to frolick in the sand...unfortunately for me I fell right out of that boat, and suffered minor injuries doing so...thank goodness were weren't actually on water!

Once Dave & I reached our destination for the evening we enjoyed the yet another beautiful sunset over the ocean and had a yummy BBQ with Melly at her resort complex. (Again, so dark and tiny...darn!)

In the morning we woke up with the birds and headed out in our jammies to watch the sun rise over the ocean. I just love this time of the day...probably because I don’t see it nearly enough!

After brekkie we turned around and began our five hour venture back to the city, but not without a much needed stop for some sexie coffie...hey, we all need a little pick me up like this to get through such a long drive. And, yes, incase you were wondering, that's totally how i drink my coffee too...balanced gently on folded knees...doesn't everyone?

It should also be noted that Dave and I believe we have found where Noah’s ark washed up on shore...its in the Bundaberg area in case anyone is still looking for it?! Could have come in handy during the Brisbane floods of biblical proportions...what a waste.

Anyways friends, thats the story of our weekend roadie, glad we could share it with you! Check back for more adventures of Tegs & Dave shortly...I will have more photos to share of our first race together, which we ran on Saturday and lived to tell the tale!

Ps- feel free to leave a comment and let me know what kind of material you like to see on the blog...this means more than just the regular commentators...the fabulous Sheri Carl and my mom! haha (love you both!)

xoxo Tegs
