Life On The Run

Big news!! Dave and I have survived the Gold Coast 10km race last weekend! We didn’t really spend a lot of time prepping for the run, so we were really proud of ourselves for crossing the finish line just over the 1 hour mark. Yep, that meant no stopping for this girl, good thing Davers was pushing me through it, or I would have definitely took a power walk a time or two or three. But we actually had a blast, and it felt amazing to finish our first race, together as a team. The pictures posted here are to show the shabby scenery we were forced to take in as we ran along the coastline at Southport...painful isn't it?! Beaches, yacht clubs, surf and sand...I guess if we have to run 10 kms somewhere, it might as well be by the sea!

We are already scheming up some plans for our next race to enter...the Bridge to Brisbane in September.

After the race I had a photography lesson on the gold coast for a couple hours, so when we got back to Brissy we were ready for some hard earned R&R.

Tomorrow is our last game of the season for Touch Footy...hard to believe we survived the league, but it was a total riot. Sad to see the end of such a legacy haha can’t wait for next season to start up again!
