Somewhere beyond the sea

Welcome to Part Two of our fabulous Whitsunday escape! It`s taken me a while to get these shots out, mainly because we've been having such a darn good time lately that I just haven't been at the computer much. We are taking full advantage of having these beauties in Oz...more adventures on the way soon!

How blue is that water?! I think one of the most calming remedies for life’s little tensions has to be laying on a sailboat watching the waves go by. If you don’t believe me just try sailing for a day...it’s impossible to hold on to any negative energy at sea, the breeze simply propels it out of your system. And that only leaves room in the soul for some joyous jumping...off the side of the boat of course.

From the boat we had the chance to jump in and swim the shallow waters around the reef, which was awesome for snorkeling. But since summer brings with it the deadly stinger season, we had to do all of our snorkeling suited up. Bonus!! Seriously, dosen`t everyone look smokin' hot in a wetsuit?! It was all worthwhile when we saw a giant green turtle gliding right past our fingertips.

We had a really awesome group on board...boat loads of Canadians (hehe)...but the skipper was a whole 'nother story. I think he must have been caught up in a brief moment of wishful thinking when he decided to name his sailboat Spank Me, (if he was in fact the one responsible for giving such a beautiful boat such an ugly name). And even though he was about as obnoxious as the name he chose for his vessel, we just tuned him out when necessary. Like I said before, all dramas are lost at sea!

Those snorkels pretty complicated boys?!
